Be it known that I, CONRAD SCI-IROEDER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Milwaukee, in the county of Milwaukee and State of \Visconsin, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cork-Retaining Devices; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the aceompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
In the said drawings, Figure 1 is a vertical sectional view on the line 1 1 of Fig. 2, and Fig. 2 is a plan view of acork-retaining device embodying my new design.
My design relates to the new and original shape of the article.
The leading or essential feature consists in the unitary design for a cork-retaining device made the subject of illustration, comprising the shape of the outer slightly-flaring annular wall A, with a lower annular series of ribs a a a, separated by concavities or depressions b b b, and the flattened annular top portion 1; and central top depressed portion C.
Minor features of this design comprise the tapered or inwardly-flaring annular wall 0 of the said central top depressed portion C and the rounded outer annular edge dot the flattened annular top portion B.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a cork-retaining device substantially as herein shown and described.
