UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
- NlCl'lOLAS GERBER, OF ZURICH, SVVITZERLANI).
DESIGN FOR A BUTYROMETER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,817, dated June '7, 1898.
Application filed $eptemher 7, 1897. Serial No. 650,857. Term of patent 14 years. Patented in England August 18, 1896, No.18,282, and in Austria March 14, 1897,170- 47/877.
To (all whont it may concern.-
Be it known that I, NICHOLAS GERBER, a citizen of the Republic of Switzerland, residing at Zurich, Switzerland, have invented a certain new and useful Design for Butyrometers, of which the following is a specification, for which I have obtained patents in Austria, filed September 2, 1896, issued March 14, 1897, No. 47/877, and in England, filed August 18, 1896, sealed October 17, 1896, No. 18,282.
My invention relates to a novel design for a bu tyrometer, lactometer, orother fat-testin g instrument; and it consists in the novel features of the design hereinafter f nlly described and claimed.
The accompanying drawing illustrates my design for a butyrometer.
Referring now to said drawing, my design consists in a cylindrical body a, which terminates at one end in a head I) of substantially conical shape. At its other end said cylindrical body (L terminates in a cylindrical enlargement cl, which is provided with a neck e at its lower end, which is smaller than said portion (l and is provided adjacent its connection with the latter and adjacent its end with annular corrugations or indentations f. Said cylindrical portion a is provided with a scale h in the usual manner.
My design is neat and attractive and has many advantages over other designs of similar instruments.
I claim as my invention The design for a butyronieter, substantially as shown and described.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand in presence of two subscribing witnesses.
NICHOLAS GERBER.
