DESIGNFOR A WRITING-PEN.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,964, dated January 10, 1899.
Application filed. August 11,1898. Serial No. 688,398. Term of patent '7 years- I To all whom it may concern;
Be it known that I, THEODORE E. SMITH, a citizen of the United States, residing in the borough of Brooklyn, New York city, county 5 of Kings, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Pens, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
[0 The accompanying drawing is a plan view of a Writing-pen, showing my new design.
As illustrated in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design comprises the unitary article shown in the accompany- I 5 ing illustration; and it consists of a diamondshaped hole A, formed in the body B of the writing-pen at a point back of the slit between the two pen-nibs a a. This diamond-shaped opening or hole Ais disposed or arranged centrally of the width of the pen, so that the pro- 20 longation of a line joining the two ends of the diamond will be coincident with the center line of the pen and the pen-slit.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters 2 5 Patent, is
The design for a Writing-pen, as herein shown and described.
