UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HENRIETTA O. SI'IAVV, OF KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI.
DESIGN FOR A PIN AND RING BLANK.
To aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRIETTA C. SHAW, a citizen of the United States, residing at Kansas City, in the county of Jackson and State of Missouri, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Pin and Ring Blanks, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to a new and useful design for a pin and ring blank.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 represents a plan view, Fig. 2 an edge view, and Fig. 3 a central cross-section, of a pin and ring blank, showing my new design, and the leading or material feature of the same resides in a long narrow figure A, having its side margins extending for the greater part of its length insubstantially parallel lines and tapered to a long narrow point B at one end, and provided near one end with the narrow longitudinally-extending slot-like figure G and near its opposite end with the narrow longitudinal neck D, said neck occurring between two substantially reetangular figures d d in the opposite margins of the figure.
Minor features of my design are embraced in the reduced width of the figure at a point between the said neck and the adjacent end of the blank, the side margins of this reduced portion being curved, as at e 0; also, in the reduced width of the figure adjacent to the slotlike figure (J, from which point-said reduced portion increases gradually in width in long sweeping curvesff; also, in the reduced width of the figure adjacent to the narrow neck D, said reduced portion increasing gradually in width by the divergence of its margins g g h h from the opposite ends of said narrow neck; also, in the segmental formation as viewed in cross-section of the blank, as at i, and its tapering or grad ually-diininishing thickness from its middle or thickest point to said slot-like figure and neck, from the latter point of which its sides or faces are parallel, While from the former its sides or faces are parallel for a slight distance and then diverge to a point K, from which point they taper to a long narrow point B.
hat I claim is The design for a pin and ring blank, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I alfix my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
HENRIETTA c. SHAW.
