To all whom it may concern.- I
Be it known that we, ERWIN M. JENNINGS and CHARLES F. .MOSMAN, citizens of the United States, and residents of Bridgeport, in the county of Fairfield and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Clock-Cases, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a. front view of a clock-case e111- bodying our new design. Fig. 2 is a side view of the same.
As shown in the drawings, the leading -01 material features of our design consist in a cylindrical portion comprising plain and headed rings a and h, encircling the opening 0 for the clock-movement. These rings are surrounded by a series of irregular scroll and leaf ornamentations (Z and e of French rocooo style, together with a lattice panel f at the base. The top portion of the case is surmounted by a representation of a shell in the concave portion-of which is seated a cupid 71. The external cylindrical portions of the rear and front of the case contain a series of convex ribs 2', and the case as a whole is supported on three graceful legs j, which are or namented in scroll and leaf eifect in harmony with the main body of the clock.
It is obvious that this design is also applicable to other uses than that herein mentioned.
