UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICEQ LUTHER E. JEROME, OF NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT, ASSIGNOR TO THE NEYV HAVEN CLOCK COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A CLOCK-CASE.
.GPECIPICATION forming part of Design No. 16,900, dated September 14, 1886 Application filed July 3, 1886. Serial No. 207,146. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, LUTHER E. JEROME, residing at New Haven, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, haveinvented'and produced a new and original Design for Clock-Cases; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which forms a part of this specification.
The accompanying drawing is a view in perspective of a cloekcase containing my newlyinvented design.
The leading feature of my design consists in a perforated and jeweled shell.
A is a square shell, provided with a pyrainidal top, B, having a fluted or wavy edge, and furnished with a fluted cap, 0, and abail, D, the said shell and top being perforated, as at E, and set with jewels F, as shown. The clock-dial G is mounted in one face of the shell, and, as herein shown, in that face thereof forming the door of the case.
What I claim is- 1. The design for a clock-case herein shown and described, the same consisting of an upright body in the form of a shell, and having perforations and the ornamentation F, and said body also having a tapering top.
2. The design for a clock-case herein shown and described, the same consisting of a body in the form of an upright flat-faced shell, and having a tapering top, such shell and upright being perforated, and having the ornamentation F.
3. The design for a clock-ease herein shown and described, the same consisting of a square perforated and jeweled shell having a pyramidal top.
