DESIGN FOR PENCIL-CASES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 11,693, dated March 23, 1880.
Application filed February 7, 1880.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, CHARLES H. COURT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Jersey City, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a. new and original Design for Pencil-Cases, of which the following is a. specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part thereof.
Figure 1 is a side view of my newly-designed pencil-case, and Fig. 2 is an edge view of the same, these two views being deemed necessary to fully illustrate my design.
This design relates to the ornamental case or inclosure for a pencil; and said case consists of a scalloped and corrugated figure representing a shell, from which protrudes a pencil having a ring on one end, which may be attached to a watch-chain or necklace.

A tooth-pick or watch-key bit may be substituted for pencil-nib B.
I claim The design for a pencil-case herein shown and described, the same consisting of the shell A, having a scalloped edge, b, and a convex corrugated surface, a, in combination with the pencil B B, having a ring, D, as shown.
