DESIGN FOR A WATCHCASE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,267, dated May 15, 1894. Application filed April 19, 1894. Serial No. 508,223. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be It known that I, \VALLAOE DURAND, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark,in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, haveinvented and produced a new and original Design for Vatchcases; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.

Figure 1 is a face view of the watch case, and Fig. 2 is an edge view of the same, these two views being deemed sufficient to illustrate the invention.

The leading feature of the design consists in the watch case, which is round in plan, con

20 vex at its edges and approximately flat at the center of the sides, and at said flatcenters ornamented with a decoration resembling acrab.

In said drawings, a, indicates the round face of the watch case which is convexly curved at its edges and, at its center is more or less flattened. The center of this flattened part is ornamented by a crab-shaped decoration, b, and over the same an ornament resembling the zodiacal sign for the constellation Cancer.

That I claim as new is- The design for a watch case herein shown and described.
