DESIGN FOR A WATCHCASE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,236, dated May 1, 1894. Application filed February 28, 1894. Serial No. 501,375. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Ile it known that I, VVALLAOE DURAND, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for W'atchcases; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art; to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
Figure 1 is a plan of the newly designed watch case. Fig. 2 is an edge view of the same.
The leading feature of the design consists in a watch case which is convex 0n the outer face and, at the central part of the convex side, ornamented with the figure of a. man sitting astridecfa figure of a mythical animal and bearing in his hand a saucer orcupshapcd receptacle.
In said drawings, a indicates the watch, Z; the side face thereof which is convex at the edges as indicated in Fig. 2, and at the center part comparatively flat. The flattened center part is ornamented with a figure of a man, a, sitting astride of a figure, (l, of a mythical animal, and hearing in his hand a saucer or cup-shaped receptacle, as though carrying water.
What I claim as new is- The design for a watch case, herein shown and described.
