DESIGN FOR A RING.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,542, dated August- 7, 1894.

Application filed July 12, 1894. Serial No. 517,373. Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, WALLACE DURAND, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Rings; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear,and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.

Figure 1 is a plan and Fig. 2 is a transverse sectional view of my newly designed ring. Fig. 3 is a view of the peripheral ornamentation laid 01? upon a plane. These three views are deemed sufficient and necessary to illustrate my design.

The leading feature of my design consists of a ring, on the outer peripheral face of which are displayed ornamental representations of a mermaid, and flower-shaped figures.

In said drawings, a, indicates the ring, the peripheral face of which is wide and is ornamented with figures shaped like a mermaid, b, and poppies, 0.

cl, indicates a zodiacal sign for the constel lation Virgo.

What I claim as new is- The design for a ring herein shown and described.
