DESIGN FOR A CASKET-GRIP.
SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design No. 30,535, dated April 11, 1899.
Application filed February 17, 1899. Serial No. 705,894. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom, it may cwwern:
Be it known that I, EDWARD R. SARGENT, of the city and county of New Haven, in the State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Casket-Grips, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description,when taken in connection with the drawings, which form a part thereof, and in which- Figure 1 is a top View of a casket-grip emhodying mydesign; Fig. 2, a side View; Fig. 3, a reverse view from that shown in Fig. 2, and Fig. 4 a transverse section on lines 4 4 of Fig. 3.
In all figures similar letters of reference represent like parts.
This invention relates to a design for casket grips; and it consists in a con figuration hereinafter described, and shown in the above referred to drawings.
The grip consists of a hollow plate (designated by the letter A) which is substantially angular in cross-section, Fig. 4, the side or surface C being curved and the side 1) substantially flat. The surface 0 is transversely invecied, as shown in Figs. l and 3, and presents four scallops extending transversely across the surface from the meeting line E of the two surfaces C and l) to substantially the outer edge F of the surface C. Extending outwardly from the edge F of the surface U 0 and also from the edge G of the surface D is a flat flange 15.
