UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.

LOUIS FRED HOOKER, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.

DESIGN FOR A RUBBER SCRAPING-KNIFE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,404, dated March 28, 1899.

Application filed February 27, 1899. Serial No. 707,109- Term of patent 7 years.

To (LZZ whont it 12mg cancer/1.:

lie it known that 1, Louis FRED HOOKER, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Rubber Scraping-Knives, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming partthereof, in which Figure 1 is a side elevational view of a rubber scraping-knife, showing my new design; and Fig. 2 is a sectional view taken on the line :1: ofFig. 1.

As illustrated in the drawings,- the leading feature of my design consists in the configuration or shape of the rubber blade and handle comprising the scrapingknife for fine china, glassware, and the like. The rubber blade a is oval in form. The rear end a of said blade is slightly curved, and the forward end a has a greater degree of curvature than the rear end. The blade (1. depends from a handle I), the rear portion 11' of which is rounded and the forward portion clampshaped, as at If, and beveled on both sides toward the surfaces or body of the blade (1.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

The design for a rubber scraping-knife, substantially as shown and described.
