in the county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Sewer-Trap, of which the following is a. full, clear, and exact description.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, forming a. part of this specification, in which similar characters of reference indicate corresponding parts both the views.
Figure 1 is aside elevation of a sewer-trap, showing my design; and Fig. 2 is a. transverse section of the same on the line 2 2 in Fig. 1.
The leading feature of my design consists in the design forming the subject-matter of the accompanying illustration.
The design in its entirety consists of n. U- shaped tubular body A, terminating at its ends in horizontally-disposed tubular ends 13 and 0, extending in opposite directions relatively to each other, tubular offsets D D appearing at the top of the junction of the body A with the said ends 13 and 0, respectively, the said olisets D Dstnndin g at obtuse angles to the ends B and (J, respectively, and appearing with necks E, flaring outwardly at their bottom portions to gradually merge in the Walls of the body A and the ends B and C, the space between the wings of the body A being formed in a V-like shape, with its upper end curved slightly inward or contracted to merge with the inner or adjacent side of the offsets D and D and to combine therewith in producing the outlines of a figure simulating an arrow-head.
Having thus fully described my invention, I claim as new an d desire to seen re by Letters Patent The design for a. sewer-trap, ashcrcin shown and described.
