DESIGN FOR A SPOON.
SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design No. 21,540, dated May 17, 1892.
Application filed March 21, 1892. Serial No. 425,860. Term of patent '7 yam.
To all whom it may concern:
Beit known that I, JACOB C. SCHMIDT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Reading, in the county of Berks, State of Pennsyl- Vania, have invented a. new and original Design for Spoons, of which the following is a. specification.
The drawing shows a plan View of a spoon embodying mydesign, lookinginto the hollow of the bowl.
The leading features of my design are the peculiar configuration of the handle and ornamentation of the bowl.
The bowl (1 of the spoon where it unites with the curved blade 6 of the cimeter bears the representation of an Egyptian head I), forming, as it were, the kcystoneof the arch.
Extending from this head to the point of the bowl and curved to correspond with the outline of the latter are representations of tigers teeth c c, between which, near the center of the bowl,is a. star (I. A camel f is represented as poised upon the end 9 of the handle, and the flat surface of cimeter affords suitable space for lettering.
What I claim is- The design for a spoon, substantially as herein shown and described.
