DESIGN FOR A PILL-BOTTLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,731, dated May 31, 1898.
Application filed April 30, 1898. Serial No- 679,404. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MATTHEW J. BOGERT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Demarest, in the county of Bergen and State of New Jersey, have invented a new and original Design for a Pill-Bottle, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for a pill-bottle; and it has for its object to provide adesign of this character that shall be both useful and ornamental.
The leading features of the design reside in a cylindrical body provided with an exterior annularly-reduced neck portion, a pair of closely-arranged exterior annular beads at each end thereof, and a single annular bead surrounding the same atthe juncture between the main portion of the bodyand its reduced portion. A minor feature of the design rcsides in the body having a stopper provided with a circular head, having its periphery formed bya pair of closely-arranged rounded annular beads.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of a bottle embodying the herein-described design. Fig. 2 is a side view thereof. Fig. 3 is a longitudinal sectional view.
Referring to the accompanying drawings,
the numeral 1 designates the cylindrical body of the bottle, which body is of the same interior diameter throughout and is provided with an exterior annularly-reduced neck portion 2, which curvesinto the main cylindrical portion of the body, and at the juncture between these two portions of the body is arranged asingle annular rounded bead 3. At each of its opposite ends the bottlebody is provided with a pair of closely-arranged exterior annular rounded beads l, and the stopper 5 is provided with a circular head having its periphery formed by a pair of closely-arranged rounded annular beads 6, the said circular head of the stopper being of a less diameter than the adjacent end or mouth of the bottle-bod y.
