Description

DESIGN.
E. C. WARREN.
GAS HEATING STOVB.
Patented Dec. '7, 1897.
T. E E w H UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
EDRIC C. VARREN, OF CLEVELAND, OHIO, ASSIGNOR TO REINEKE, VILSON du CO., OF PITTSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A GAS HEATING-STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,946, dated December '7, 1897.
Application filed September 27, 1897. Serial No. 653,260. Term of patent 7 years.
7b {1J/Z whom, it may concerne Be it known that I, EDRIC C. VARREN, a citizen of the United States, residin g at Cleveland, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Gas Heating-Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, showing a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a perspective elevation of my new design for gas heating-stoves, disclosing its appearance more especially from the front, though giving a partial side view; and Fig. 2 is a plain side elevation.
The leading features of my design appertain more especially to the top and bottom front of the stove, and hence are most clearly seen from the front; but they also enter into the side configuration of the design, as clearly seen in Fig. 2. Thus the base of the stove is characterized by a forwardly-projecting portion whose upper surface 2 is curved on the segment of a circle from bottom to top and side to side of the stove and marked with inflected surface 4, sweeping backward and upward into the stove from the upper edge of surface 2, a border 5 forming an ornamental offset between said reversely- curved surfaces 2 and 4.
The third feature of my design consists in the figured sides 7 of the stove, which are marked at the top and front by the ornamental projection 8, figured to match the said sides.
The fourth feature of mydesign consists in the shape or outline of the cover or roof 9, which overlies the top of the stove, and is a suggestion of a hip -roof pattern having a transverse offset or shoulder l0 midway from top to bottom7 and each section above and below the hip or shoulder fashioned on differently-curved lines.
What I claim isl. In a gas heating-stove, the design for the figured side plates, substantially as shown and described.
2. The design for a gas heating-stove, substantially as shown and described.
fitness my hand to the foregoing specification this :ZOth day of September, 1897.
EDRIC C. WARREN.
