JAMES 1). WILSON, ()1! ST. LUl'lb, MISSOURI.
DESIGN FOR A FLUSHlNG-TANK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,696, dated September 28, 1897.
Application tiled December 26, 1896. Serial No. 617,106. Term of patent 14 years.
To 11f! whom it may (one/'1'.-
lie it known thatI, JAMESD. Winsox, a eitizen of the United States, residing at St. Louis,
in the State of Missouri, have invented and Figure l is a. front elevation of a ilushingtank and wall-plate embodying my design; Fig. 2, a side elevation of the same; and Fig. 3 is an isometric view, these three \iGWS being deemed necessary to fully illustrate my design.
My tilesign Consists in the shape of the front of the tank, which curves downwardly and backwardly from near the top to the bottom, in connection with the form of the ends of the tank and the form and arrangeu'ient of the molding and wall-plate.
leferring to the drawings, is the curved front. of the tank. \Vhen I speak of this curvature, I wish to be understood as referring to the curve of its body, and the molding is not included in that curve, which terminates a short distance below the molding.
1 denotes the bottom of the tank, which is flat and substantiall horizontal from the point (I, where the curve of the front of the tank merges into it.
The letters I; If indicate pipe connections forming no part of my design.
(1 denotes the ends of the tank, which are Hat, and their front edges (1 are curved and shaped to correspond with the shape and curvature of the front and bottom of the tank.
1) denotes the wall-plate or pipe-board, ex-
tending, down from the back of the tank and having its sides (I curved inwardly toward the central portion d, giving to the plate a form that harmonizes well with that of the body of the tank.
Extending around the upper edges of the front and ends of the tank is a molding E, that inclines or flares outwardly and upwardly and that has a beading at its lower edge.
My invention relates only to the exterior form of the tank. The form or shape of the interior is immaterial.
\Vhat I claim, and desire to secure, is-
The design for a flushing-tank, substantially as shown and described.
.LUIES l). \VILSON.
