DESlGN FOR A COFFEE-POT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,437, dated October 4, 1898.
Application filed December 16, 1897. Serial No. 662,224. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it only concern:
llc it known that I, HENRY IARNEsT GUYN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Coffee-Pots, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which-- Figure 1 represents a side elevation of a coffee-pot constructed according to my design, and Fig. 2 a section on the line a: J of Fig. l.
The leading or material ieatu re of my design consists of a coffee-pot whose body is formed with an extension upon its upper end made in two annular sections, the lower of which is secured to the body of the pot and has its upper and lower edges lying in rearwardly-converging planes, and the upper of which is secured to the lower, has its upper and lower edges lying in rearwardly-conrerging planes, and has its front wall extending rearwardly and obliquely from the spout, the upper edge of said spout forming a continuation of the line of connection between the body and the lower of said sections.
The bod y 1 is provided with the usual spout 2 and handle 3 and in addition has the extension -i upon its upper end. The said extension is made up of two annular sections 5 and 6, which are secured to each other along their meeting edges. The lower section 5 is attached directly to the body l. and has its upper and lower edges lying in planes which converge from the front of the pot rearwardly, and the upper section 6 also has its upper-and lower edges lying in planes which converge from the front of the pot rear- Wardly. In addition the front side of the section 6 extends rearwardly and obliquely from the spout 2, and the upper edge of said spout forms a continuation of the line of connection between the bodyand the lowerof said sections.
Having now described the invention, what I claim is- The design for a coffee-pot, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I ailix my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
HENRY BARNES" GUYN.
