DESIGN FOR A DRAFT-LUG.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,449, dated April 3, 1900. pp ication 6 Fe ruary 1900 Serial No 5,534. Term of patent 14 years.
To a, whom zit may concern.-
Be it known that I, LOUIS A. Human, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Draft-Lug, of which the following is such a full, clear, and exact description as will enable any one skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification.
In the accompanying drawings, where my new and original design is shown and where like marks of reference refer to the same parts, Figure 1 is an isometric projection. Fig. 2 is a top plan View, and Fig. 3 is an end View.
The leading features of my design are as follows: 5 is the main part or body of the lug and is provided with offsets G. Extending upwardly from the body portion 5 are outer webs or flanges 7 and inner webs or flanges 8. Each of the Webs or flanges 1 is connected to the adjacent flange 8 by means of a Wall 9. Extending rearwardly from the main or body portion 5 is a portion 10. Extending upwardly from the portion 10 are Webs or flanges 11, which form continuations of the webs or flanges 8, hereinbefore described. The front wall 12 of the body portion 5 has formed in it an aperture 13. Extending laterally through the lug are boltholes 14.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is
The design for a draft-lug substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal in the presence of the two subscribing witnesses.
