LOUIS A. IIOERR, OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI.
DESIGN FOR A DRAFT-LUG.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,998, dated July 24, 1900.
Application filed April 9,1900. Serial No. 12,250. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, LOUIS A. In the accompanying drawings, where my new and original design is shown and where like marks of reference refer to similar parts, Figure 1 is an isometric projection; and Fig. 2 is a similar view, but on a reduced scale and looking at the lug in a different position.
The leading features of my design are as follows: The body portion of the lug is composed of a top 5, bottom 6, sides 7, front end 8, and rear end 9. Extending from the sides 7 of the lug are projections 10. The body of the log is substantially rectangular, except that the top 5 is provided with an inclined portion 11 forward of the projections 10. Formed in the top 5 is an opening 12 and in the bottom 6 a similar opening 13. Adjacent to the opening 12 a web or flange 15 is formed on the top 5, and adjacent to the opening 13 a similar web or flange 16 is formed on the bottom 6. At the front part of the top 5 and forming a part of the front end 8 is a flange 17, and at the front part of the bottom 6 is a similar flange 18,also forming part ofthe front end 8. 19 is a web or flange which extends rearwardly from the web or flange 17, and 20 a flange which extends rearwardly from the web or flange 1S. Formed in the front end 8 is a circular opening 21 and in the rearend 9 a similar circular opening 22. 23 are bolt-holes which are formed in the sides 7.
Having fully described my invention, what I clal in as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
The design for a draft-lug substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
LOUIS .A. IIOERR.
