SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,496, dated August 3, 1897. Application {iled June 23, 189'?. Serial No. 641,991. Term of patent 3l years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, WALTER B. BROWN, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, and a resident of Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented a new and original Design for a Carpet and Border, known as Pattern No. 609, of which the following is a specication.
This invention comprises two paris, namely, the design A for a carpet and the design B for a border; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification conveys to any one a clear understanding of the same and is suflicient to enable such person to use my invention.
The body A is characterized by large separated igures of substantially circular outline and smaller ornamental figures between.
The border B is characterized by large sepsimilar to those in the body,
arated figures,
festoons of leaf and flower and a series of forms.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, s
1. In a design for a carpet, the body A, substantially as shown.
In a design for a carpet, the border B, substantially as shown.
3. The design for a carpet comprising the body A and the border B, substantially as shown.
