DESIGN FOR A RADIATOR-LOOP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,247, dated November 3, 1896.
Application filed March 30,1896. Serial No. 585,491. Term of patent 7 years.

county of Wayne, State of Michigan, have invented and produced a new and original Design for l adiator-Loops, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accom ianying drawing, which forms a 10 part thereof.
The design in its entirety is intended to be applied to the owl loop ofa staek of radiatorloops.
In the drawing the figure is an elevation I5 of the side of the end loop, showing the design in its entirety.
The design consists in raised figures on the curved surface of a radiator-loop that is nearly rectangular in outline, comprising a sprayof leaves and blossoms rising at either side from the base and extending upward about onequarter or one-third of the distance to the top, and a similar spray extending down on either side from the top for about one-quarter or one-third of the distance. Between the two down-dromiing sprays and the two rising sprays is a diamondshaped panel, smooth and plain except for a panel of raised figures in its center. At the extreme top, at the front amt rear, are medallion-heads of eherubs, facing outward or away from the central line, amt showing to one looking directly at the side a little more than the profile. Centrally at the top and between the two medallions just described is a full-faced medallion of a fionshead. At the bottom on each side, within the spray of vines and flowers, there is a fanciful head, and the ornamentation extends downward, covering the legs and extending to the extreme bottom part of the rmliator-loop.
The medallion-heads at the top are indicated by the letters A, It, and t. The rampant lion in the center of the figure is indi cated by the letter I), and the f'aneif'ul heads in the bottom are indicated by the letters E and l The principal feature of this design eon- ,sisfs in the lightgraeefulspravsofleavesand flowers surrounding and drooping from the medallions at the upper part, and the light graceful sprays of flowers aml vines rising from the lower part, those above and those below both separating, so as to leave a plain surface of substantially diamond shaped form having a central ornamental figure, and a sprayof vines and flowers entwininga rampant animal.
