FERDINAND E. LIBENOV, OF SPOKANE, \VASHINGTON, ASSIGNOR OF 'iW'O- 'IHIRDS TO DANIEL J.
MUNN, OF NEW \VESTMINSTER, CANADA.
DESlGN FOR A BADGE.
To all whom, it may concern Be itknown that I, FERDINAND E. LIBE- wv, residing at Spokane, in the county of Spokane and State of Washington, have in vented and produced a new and original Dosign for Badges, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the aceompauyins drawings, which form a part thereof, in which- Figure 1 is a front view of my design for a badge. Fig. 2 is a vertical section on the line 2 2 of Fig. l, and Fig. 3 is a similar view on the line 3 3 of Fig. 1.
My design consists, essentially, of a body portion 1 and surrounding ornamentations, (indicated generally by 2,) the body portion in face view comprising a lower part I, having the appearance of a bucket or pail, and the upper end of the said body, at diametrically-opposite sides, terminates in ears 1", with which the bail-like member 3 joins. The bail 3 extends vertically and has a handle 4, disposed centrally between two side ornamentations 2 2. The upper end of the body 1 also has a. dome-like top 5, the crown of which extends vertically upward and has the shape of an inverted tin cup, as indicated by 6, said cup-like portion having. a laterallyextending handle 6. The body member 1 has a series of cut-out portions arbitrarily 0 arranged and of suitable ornamental configurations, said openings being indicated by 7, and the cup end also has similar ornamental openings, (indicated by 8.)
The body part of my badge as viewed from 35 the front is a contour of a workingmnns dinner-pail with ornamental openings in the bottom and top portions thereof, as hereinbefore stated, and shown in the drawings, the same appearing as seated between the two o side ornamentations 2 2, each of which is in the nature of a flag, the staffs of which are extended upwardly divergingly from the body 1, the banner portions of the flags folding over toward the sides of the body portion 5 1. In horizontal section the body portion 1 of the body has aconvex shape, best shown in Fig.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters lat- 5o ent, is-
The design for a badge, substantially as herein shown and described.
FERDINAND E. LI HENOW.
