DESIGN FOR A MUG.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,788, dated July 21, 1896.
Application filed June 3, 1896. Serial No. 594,173. Term of patent 3i years.
To all mil/m1, if may concern:
Be it known that I, CHRISTIAN II. llAUsEN, a citizen of the United States,residingatTrenton, in the eountyof Mercer and State of New- .Iersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Drinking-Mugs; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
This invention relates to an original design for drinking-mugs; and it consists in the peculiar decorative features and shape hereinafter described and shown.
In the accompanying drawings, the design is shown in front elevation in Figure 1, and in Fig. 2 in side elevation, as consisting of a receptacle or mug having its body portion fashioned to represent a head with a character of a face, surmounted by a hat which constitutes the upper edge of the mug, there being a narrow rim to the hat. On the side oi the mug is a handle of conventional shape.
The essential feature of the design is the shape of the mug, having its body portion fashioned to represent a head with a character of a face, surmounted by a representation of a hat, which latter constitutes the upper portion of the mug.
Having thus described my invention, what is claimed as new, and desired to be secured by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a mug, substantially as shown and described.
