DESIGN FOR A CUSHION-HEEL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,162, dated July 4, 1899.` Application filed June 9, 199. Serial No. 719,969. Term of patent' years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, J ozsnn ZSIDAY, a subject of the King of Hungary, and a resident of New York, borough of Brooklyn, county of Kings, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cushion-Heels for Boots or Shoes, of which the following is a specification, reference being had tothe accompanying drawings, in which- Figure l shows a bottom plan View of a heel for boots or shoes having my design 'ap plied thereto. Fig. 2 is a sectionalpview thereof on a line 2 2 of Fig. l. Fig.V 3 is a top plan View thereof.
The leading or characteristic features of my design consist of a rib or flange around the edge of the heel, the latter being of the .ordinary shape or contour, a cavity or depression in the center of the heel, the shape or outline of the cavity being that of the outline or shape of the heel, an opening in the center of the heel, extending entirely through the same, and depressions in the cavitysurrounding the central opening, the upperside of the heel having a depression in it extending from the central opening to the edgefof said heel.
Referring to the drawings, A represents a cushion-heel for boots or shoes, B a depres sion the outline .of which is that of the outline ofthe heel, and C a rib or fiange around the outer edge.
D represents a hole or opening through the center of the heel and from which on the upper side of the heel, as illustrated in Fig. 3, extends a depression E to the edge of said heel. A
F represents depressions formed in the cavity B and surrounding the central opening D.
What I claim is- The design for a cushion-heel, substantialiy as herein shown and described.
