SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,973, dated June 6, 1899;

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, CLARENCE H. WiLEY, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Hartford, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented a new and orig inal Design for Shoe-Soles; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings and let ters of reference marked thereon, to be a full,

clear,- and exact description of the same, and

said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent, in

Figure 1 a plan View of a shoe-sole, showing my design, and in Fig. 2 a side View of the 1 same.

As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a fanciful border a, of ornamental stitching, located on the body part b of the solo, at or near the edge thereof, and extending completely 26 ing witnesses.
