UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
CHARLES S. BARROlVS, OF ROCHESTER, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR A TOE-CLIP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,797, dated October 29, 1895. Application filed September 3, 1895. Serial No. 581,356. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, CHARLES S. BARROWS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Rochester, in the county of Monroe and State of New York, have invented and produced a certain new and useful Design for Toe-Clips for Cycle-Pedals; and I do hereby declare the following to be a specification of the same, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming a part hereof, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a toe-clip, showing my design; Fig.2, a plan view, and Fig. 3 a view looking from the rear.
The leading feature of my design is the shape or configuration.
The clip is formed of a continuous strip, the ends A of which are turned down at an angle to the portions B B, the latter extending in substantially the same horizontal plane and then diverging gradually at the front and formed into the upwardly and outwardly curved parts or loops 0 G. Then the side wires approach each other above the portions B B, where they are connected by a band D. The portion in rear of the band D is formed 25 into the lateral loops E E, the curved part F connecting them, and the loops themselves being arched slightly, as shown particularly in Fig. 3.
It is not essential to my design that the 30 strip or wire forming the clip be round in cross-section, as shown.
I claim- The design for toe clips substantially as shown and described.
CHARLES S. BARROWS.
