My invention consists of a fine wire fast- -ened at the ends, and one or two intermediate points to the shoe, one on each side of the slit, with metal fastening-clasps on the lower portions of the'wires and metal and rubber, or other elastic clasps on the upper portion, making a simpler and less laborious fastening to operate, than the t'aste-nings now in use.
Figure 1 is a top view of a shoe, having my improved fastening. Fig. 2 is a section on line a; m, and Fig. 3 is a section on line z y.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
A represents the wires which are fastened to the parts B of the shoe at O. D represents the metal clasps to the lower part, and E the elastic clasps to the upper part, said clasps bedown as far as they will go, when they disconnect easier. c
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Paten t- The combination of wires A and clasps D and E, with a shoe, for the purpose of fastening it, substantially as specified.
