DESIGN FOR A BEDSTEAD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,103, dated March 12, 1895.
Application filed November 13, 1894- Serial No. 528,887. Term of patent 3%. years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, SIEGFRIED SOHLESIN GER, residing at the city of New York, county and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Design for Bedsteads, of which the following is a specification.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawing, illustrating in perspective View, a bedstead embodying my design.
The leading feature of my design consists in the contour of the skeleton or open-work panel portion of the bedstead as shown in the headboard or footboard, and comprises a rectangular outer frame portion 1, within which is a portion 2 having a general circular or elliptical contour. Vithin this part 2 is a rod frame portion having a general diamond shape and comprising four side bars or parts 3, which preferably have a slight inward curve. At the points of junction of the parts of the outer frame 1, and also at points of junction of the parts 2, 3 with each other and with the outer frame, are rosette or knoblike portions 4, the particular contourof which may vary, or these parts 4 may be omitted, without departing from the main essential feature of the design as a whole, and which comprises the combined effect presented to the eye of the ordinary observer by the frame 1, the circular 01' elliptical contourof the part 2, and the diamond-shaped parts 3 within the latter.
\Vhat I claim is The design for a bedstead, substantially as herein shown and described.
