DESIGN FOR A DISPLAY-RACK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,771, dated May 31, 1898. Application filed April 28, 1898. Serial No- 679,l43. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, AMERICUS (3. MILLS, J r., a citizen of the United States, residing at Rochester, in the county of Monroe and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Display-Rack, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
My design relates to racks for holding and displaying furnishings, such as shirts, ties, hats, 85c. and it consists of the rack substantially as herein shown and described, the leading feature being the main or central portion,
presenting the appearance of diagonally-extending members, and the laterally-extending loops.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a rack constructed according to my design; Fig. 2, a front elevation of the same.
The rack is formed of narrow material, such as strips or wires, and the central part embodies the upper wires or members 1, radiating from the center 2, the lower wires or members 3, also radiating from the center, and the laterally-extending loops 4 in the plane of the other members. The upper portions of the members 1 are connected by a cross-strip 5, and from the ends of said strip the members are bent forward to form the arms 6, which are again bent down and toward each other to form the loops or hooks 7. The lower members 3 are connected by the transversely-extending portion 8, which is arched at the center and has the forwardly-extending loops 9 at the ends extending at right angles to the plane of the body or central portion of the rack.
I claim The design for a display-rack, substantially as herein shown and described.
AMERICUS C. MILLS, JR.
