At the ends are two upwardly curved scrolls G, springing from a trefoil ornament H, snrmounting a slightly convexed plain ornament J, and separated from the plain inner band C by a narrow fret-work I. At each corner is a nearly circular, slightly convexed plain ornament K, its outline broken by overlapping narrow scrolls, and having springing from it floriated branches and ornate scrolls and conventionalized leaves, connecting the corners with the sides and ends, all as shown in the accompanying illustration.
