JOHN C. MILLER, OF \VATERBURY, CONNECTICUT, ASSIGNOR TO THE MAT- THEWS & \VILLARD MANUFACTU RING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A SLAB FOR TABLE-TOPS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,318, dated May 29, 1894. Application filed May 4, 1894. Serial No. 510,111. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JOHN C. MILLER, of Waterbury, in the countyof New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for a Slab for Table-Tops; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a fnll,clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification and represents a plan view of a slab for table-tops embodying my design.
This invention relates to a design for a slab for table-tops, and the design consists in the configuration and ornamentation as described and shown in the accompanying illustration.
The central portion ofthe top is square, and at each angle is a shield-like ornament A, having a plain central panel A, surrounded by foliated scrolls A At the center of each side is a shield-like ornament B, surrounded by scrolls 13', between which and each angle is the head of a cherub C, the face partially turned toward the center ornament 1i, and having one outstretched wing O, which extends to the scrolls A at the angles; the cherubs, shield-like ornaments and scrolls all connected by a fret-work and system of foilated and reverse scrolls, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
I claim- The design for a slab for table-tops, as described and shown in the accompanying illustration.
