DESIGN FOR A NAPKIN-RING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,947, dated December 5, 1893.
Application filed October 14, 1893. Serial No. 488,169. Term of patent 3% years.
To aZ whom it may concern:
Beit known that I, HENRY B. BEACH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Meriden, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a certain new and original Design for Napkin-Rings; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.
This invention relates to a new and original design for napkin rings and it consists in the ornamental configuration hereinafter described and shown in the accompanying draw ings, wherein- Figure 1 shows a ring embodying the design, and Fig. 2 is an elevation of the design in the ilat.
The central portion of the ring is a band which has a finished surface on which a shield with fanciful surrounding decorations is engraved. 0n the opposite edges of the central band borders or edgngs which consist of the connected series of fanciful open work scrolls.
The essential feature of the design is the open work borders consisting of a connected series of fanciful scrolls arranged on opposite sides of a central band.
