SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design N0. 23,172, dated. April 10, 1894.

Application filed March 12, 1894. Serial No. 503,369. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern.

and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specificc ieieeew -represents a face View. r This invention relates to a design" fer the handles of spoons, forks, &c., and the design I 5 consists in the configuration and ornamentation of the handle as hereinafter described and shown in the accompanying illustration. The handle contracts from itsjunction with the bowl slightly, then gradually expands toz'mmrtne tip, its lower en :::E:W;

branch o w ere the narrower portion of the handle meets the tip. The upper portion d of the handle consists of a series of inwann rf curved scrolls e, inclosing a plain panel f, and surmounted by a shell-like ornament 9 forming the tip of the handle, all as shown in the accompanying illustration.

I claim-- The design for the handles of spoons, forks, I &c., as described and shown in the accompanying illustration.
