ALBERT ROSENSTEIN, OF LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A CANE OR UMBRELLA HANDLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,068, dated July 29, 1890.
Application filed June 25, 1890- Serial No. 356,719. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ALBERT ROSENSTEIN, of Lancaster, in the county of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Designs for Cane, Umbrella, or Parasol Handles; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use it, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which forms part of this specification.
My invention relates to an improvement in designs for cane, umbrella, or parasol handles; and it consists in the ornamental configuratiomwhich will be more fully described hereinafter, whereby a pleasing and novel effect is produced.
The accompanying photographic illustration represents my invention.
A represents the trunk or portion of a tree, the upper end of which is bent at an angle,
as shown, and which has formed upon its outer end a birds nest 13. Climbing up this tree are two raccoons or other animals (1, one of the animals being below the bend of the tree and the other at the point where the bond is made and upon the opposite side of the tree. Below the animal and encircling the tree is any suitable ornamental work D.
Having thus described my invention, I claim A design for the handle of acane,uinbrella, or parasol, consisting of the bent trunk or portion of a tree and one or more animals upon the trunk, as herein shown and described.
