SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design No. 21,356, dated February 16, 1892.
Application filed December 19, 1891. Serial No. 415.675- Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALBERT ROSENSTEIN, of Lancaster, in the county of Lancaster and Stateof Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Designs for Umbrella, Parasol, or Cane Handles; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art ot which it pertains to make and use it, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which forms part of this specification.
My invention relates to a new and original design for umbrella, parasol, or cane handles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which forms a part thereof.
The accompanying drawing represents a handle which embodies my invention.
A indicates the stem, the upper end of which is bent slightly to one side, as shown at E Extending upward and outward in the opposite direction from the bend of the end E and from the opposite side of the stem from the bend is a curved branch B. The upper end of this branch B is connected with the upper bent endEby means of astem C, which continues on to the stem B, as shown at D. As here shown, this branch 0 and D is preferably twisted around the end E, though this is not essential to the general design embodying my invention. The branch B and the stem 0 D thereof form together a circle, as shown, and form a hand-hold. The outer end of the branch B is made in the form ofa bent leaf I, which incloses, partially, a ball J. The lower end of the stem B, where it joins onto the stem A, is provided with the points L and its extremity formed into a volute.
Having thus described my design, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, 1s
The design for a handle for umbrellas, parasols, or canes, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
ALBERT ROSENSTEIN. Vitnesses:
