DESIGN FOR A HANDLE FOR CANES, UMB RELLAS, 86C- SPECIFIGATION forming part Of Design No. 19,853, dated May 27, 1890.
Application filed April 19, 1890. Serial No. 348,748. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, CHARLES L. DRE-HER, of Lancaster, in the county of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Designs for Cane and Umbrella and Parasol Handles; and I do hereby declare the following to bee. full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use it, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which form part of this specification.
My invention relates to an improvementin designs for cane, umbrella, and parasol handles; and it consists in a handle having its upper end formed into acrook or hook which is closed at its lower end, and which is provided with ornamental work upon its sides, so as to give it an ornamental appearance, as will be more fully described hereinafter.
The accompanying photographic illustration represents a side elevation of a handle which embodies my invention.
A represents the handle, which has its outer end formed into a hook or crook which is bent upon an even or regular curve to the point B,
are formed little beads or points D. Extendiug up the side of the handle from near its lower end is a plant G, havinglaterally-extending branches which have [lowers at their ends, and this plant or flower rises from the scrolls of ornamental work H.
Having thus described my invention, I claim- The design for a cane, umbrella, or parasol handle, substantially as herein shown and described.
