DESIGN FOR A HANDLE FOR CANES OR UMBRELLAS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,361, dated February 23, 1892.
Application filed December 4, 1891- Serial No. 414,061. Term of patent 3%. years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALBERT ROSENSTEIN, of Lancaster, in the county of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, haveinvented certain new and useful Improvements in Designs for Umbrella, Parasol, or Cane Handles; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use it, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which forms a part of this specification.
My invention relates to a new design for umbrella, parasol, or cane handles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which forms a part thereof.
The accompanying drawing represents the design embodying my invention.
A indicates a stem, and this stem extends upward and is formed into the tapered and curved portion B, which forms substantially an oval, as shown. This portion B curves around to the point C, where it is divided into thebranches D and E, which are slightly separated. The upper branch D curves around one side of the portion B in an upward direction, while the branch E extends downward and has its lower portion G wrapped around the stem A in a spiral form. Extending outward from that side of the stem A opposite the lower end of the curved portion B is a branch E, which extends upward in a curved or circular form, passing to the opposite side of the portion B and forming substantially an oval. These elements form the essential features of my invention.
Having thus described my design, what I desire to secure by Letters Patent is The design for an umbrella, parasol, or cane handle, substantially as herein shown and described.
