SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,036, dated February 'I, 1888.
Applicalion filed December 23,1881. Serial No. 253.852; Term of patent 'l yearn.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE H. BENEDICT, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for a 5 Package-Holder; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.
[ My invention consists in a novel and ornamental form imparted to a package-holder by producing hooks at the ends of a straight handle, each having parallel arms united by a semicircular curve and terminating in a reentrant circular curve at the end of its outer I arm approximating closely the inner straight arm.
In the accompanying drawing, D E and D E represent the hooks, and C the interposed straight handle, of a package-holder. The main stem or inner arm, D, of each hook is straight, or nearly so. The lower end, f, of the hook is in the general form of a semicircle.
Its outer arm, E, extending from the are of the lowercurve, f, of the hook, is parallel with z 5 the opposite arm D, and terminates in an inward bend, K, circular in form, and which approaches more or less closely the main stem D of the hook.
I claim as my invention- The design to; a package holder herein shown and described, the same consisting of the straight handle 0, terminating at each end in a straight inner arm, D, at a right angle thereto, a straight outer arm, E, parallel with the arm D, a semicircular return-bend, f, connecting the two, and a circular inward bend, K, approximating the inner arm, D, at the end of the outer arm, E.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name 0 to this specification in the presence of twosnbscribing witnesses.
