DESIGN FOR A HOOK FOR GARM-ENTS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,853, dated. January 8, 1901.
Application filed November l0, 1900. Serial No. 36,006, Term of patent 14 years.

Be it known that I, CHARLES LEIB, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, county of Philadelphia, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Hook for Garments, of which the following` is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
In the drawings, Figure lis atop plan View. Fig. 2 is a side View, and Eig. 3 is a top plan View of the shank with the hook portion omitted.
The leading or material features of my design consist in a hook formed of a single strand of wire, the ends being curved to form circularly-curved portions l at the inner end, the shank portion 2 comprising the two strands arranged on parallel relation and in close assemblage, the strands being bent upon themselves to form a hook portion 4, the
strands of the shank or body portion being curved outwardly at or near the bend of the hook portion 4 to form substantially enlargement 3, the radius of the inner curve of the enlargement 8 being substantially equal to the diameter of the wire strand, whereby the spring formed by the enlargement is of' a diameter substantially equal to the width of the hook portion and in the same vertical plane.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a hook for garments, as herein shown and described.
