DESIGN FOR A DRESS-STAY.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,458, dated May 23, 1893.
Application filed March 20, 1893. Serial No.466,946. Term of patent 7 years.

Be it known that I DE VER II. WARNER, a citizen of the United States, residing atBridgeport, Fairfield county, State of Connecticut, have invented a certain new and useful Design for a DressStay, of which the following is a specification.
My invention is a design for a dress stay, embodying the features hereinafter more particularly pointed out.
In the accompanyingdrawing, I have shown a perspective view of a dress stayemhodying my design.
The design embodies a stay A, having a longitudinal, flat, central portion a, and the sides or edges 5 are of irregular contour, being shown substantially tooth -shaped, and extending substantially the length of the stay. Upon the upper surfaces, two parallel strips rounded in cross-section are placed, respectively lying near the irregular edges of the stay, and projecting above the level of the flat portion.
The essential features of the design consist in a stay having a central flat portion, irregular or serrated edges and parallel strips rounded in cross-section, lying near the edges of the stay.
What I claim is The design for a dress stay, substantially as herein shown and described.
