To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRANCIS J. TORRANCE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Pittsburg, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and original Designs for Bath-Tubs; and Ido hereby declare the following to be a fulhelear, and exact description of the invention, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which form part of this specification.
My invention relates to a design for bathtubs; and it consists in the novel configuration hereinafter described and claimed, and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein Figure 1 is an end elevation, Fig. 2 a plan or top view, and Fig. 3 a side elevation, of a bath-tub embodying my design.
In plan view, or looking down upon the tub from above, the outline of the tub is in form of a parallelogram having rounded ends a a. In both side and end view the tub slopes from the upper edge, A, inwardly to the bottom B, and
the bottom rounds into the sides and ends, as at b b. The bottom B is slightly depressed at the center, and at that point an annular flange, c, is formed, as shown.
The leading feature of my design consists in the form of the tub, as seen in plan view, and the sloping sides and ends having rounded lower edges.
I claim The design for a bathtub herein described, and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, and consisting of the upper edge, A, having straight sides and semicircular ends, the body portion a corresponding in shape to said edge, sloping in toward the bottom, and having rounded lower curves, b b, as set (01th.
