To all whom it may concern:

Bait. known that; we, Josnpn A. READ and EDWARD L. CALELY, both citizens of the United States, and residents of Philadelphia,

5 Pennsylvania, have invented or produced a new and original Design for a. Grate for Fire- Places, of which the tollowing is a specification.

The back plate of the grate has a central panel, with scroll and foliated ornamentation, the borderol' the panel being rectangular with r 5 eoncaved corners, and at each corner of the panel outside of the border is. a small rosette.

The side plates of the grate are composed of open seroll-work, and the grate has the usual barred bottom and front.

We claim- The within-described design for a grate for fire-places, said design consisting of the back plate having a central panel with scroll and foliated ornamentation, and side plates oomposed of open scroll-work, as shown and de 25 scribed.
