DESIGN FOR A CLQCK-CASE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 15.673, dated December 30, 1884-.

Be it known that we, CARL VOTTI and lnonen O. NEWMAN, both citizens of the United States, residing in the city and county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Clock-Case, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanyingphotographicillustration forming part thereof.

The upperpartof the body of the case has at each side a figured column, a, at bottom a figured cross-bar, b, and at top afigured crossbar, 0. Rising from the bar 0 is a cornice,- (1, formed of columns 0 and a capitahf. The base 9 and cap 71 of each column a are ornamented, and on the caps h are triangular ornaments k, which latter are surmounted by rosettes m, the ornaments It thus flanking the cornice d. The dial-door n has a figured face, a, and the portion of the i'ace of the case around said door and between the columns a and bars I) c is mottled, as at 7). The lower part, r, of the case or pendulum portion thereof has a figured face anda door, s, with a figured face. At the upper and lower corners of the part 1' are scrolls to, the scrollstrising from the sides of said part 2' and joining the bases 9 of the columns a. The scrolls u are joined centrally at the bottom of the part 1- of the case by a shell, r.

\Ve claim 1. A design for a clock-ease, the top of which has a cross-bar, 0, side caps, 71, a cornice, (1 of, on said cross-bar, ornaments L on the caps h, and rosettes m, snrmounting said ornamt-mts, as shown and described.

2. A design for a clock-case, the body of which has side columns, (1., upper and lower Crossbars c 0, caps h on the top of said columns, and bases g at the bottom of the same, and a figured dial-door, n, as shown and described.

3. A design for a clock-ease, the bottom portion, r, of which has scrolls t at the upper corners, scrolls u at the lower corners, and a shell, o, covering the scrolls u, as shown and described.

A design fora clock-case having a body with side columns, 0, upper and lower crossbars, 0 1), caps 72, bases 9, and a dial-door, a, a top part with a cornice, d e f, rising from the cross-bar c, and ornaments is, with rosettes m on the caps 72, and a bottom part, i, with a door, 8, top corner scrolls, 16, bottom corner scrolls, u, and a shell, 0, joining the bottom scrolls, as shown and described.
