To all whom it may cmwern:
Be it known that I, SAMUEL Sl1i\'1IX. ,0i' Jersey City, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented a new znnl m-i nal Design for Dish-Handles, of which tlu- 31 lllowing is a specification:
The nature of my design is fully shown in the accompanying drawing", to which reference is made.
The invention relates to a design for an ornamental handle for dishes and dislrcovers of all kinds.
In the drawing, A represents the raised base, from which extends the raised main part B of the handle, having abutting and inclined ends, that ternnnate in rounded-0ft projecting scrolls.
From the main portion 0 extends an arcshapcd center part, D, that is crowned by a top ornament consisting of fruit and leaves.
An oval recess, E, is arranged in the main portion B, and surrounded by a beaded band, E. A raised rim, (1, extends from the base along the ends and along the edge of the center part, so as to impart a finished appearance to the handle.
l claim as my invention- The design for dish-handles, consisting of base A, with fluted edge, half-scrolls a a, and bowshaped binding a a, the latter surrounding the body B of the handle, surmounted by the qnarteflbil, and the central oval opening E, with beaded edge E, all as and for the purpose set forth.
