TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERNE Y Be it known vthat I, JOHN BROSIUS, of Rauch's Gap, in the county of Clinton, and inthe Stateof Pennsylvania, have invented an Improved Safety-Attachment for watches, pocket-books, &c.; and do hereby declare that the following is a. full, clear, and exact description thereof,-reference being-had to the accompanying drawings, making a part of this specification, `irr---which the safety-attachment is shown as attached to a portemonnaie.
rIhis improvement is designedto furnish protection to porte-monnaies, watches, 8m., when carried about the person, by fastening them to the clothing so fas to prevent removal without the owners knowledge.

This improvement provides arsimple, cheap, and reliable protection to valuables carried about theperson, from which they cannot be removed without the knowledge of the owner, although instantly detached'by-him when desired. y

The safety-attachment, composed of the jaws A and B, pins D, spring E,'levers Fand G, and chain H, for thc purpose :1nd substantially as herein specified'.
