To LZZ whom, it may concern.-

Be it known that I, LOUIS FRANKENSTEIN, a resident of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Ladies Collars and Cravats, of which the following is a specication.

My invention relates to ladies collars and cravats, and has for its object to produce a' 1o combined ladys collar and cravat which can be readily laundered.

To this end my invention consists in the new and useful article of manufacture constructed substantially as herein described and claimed.

My invention will be understood by referring to the accompanying drawings, in Which- Figure l illustrates a ladys collarand crazo vat embodying my invention, the same being depicted as spread out in a convenient position for ironing. Fig. 2 is a front or face View of the said ladys collar and cravat folded together for use. Fig. 3 is a section 2 5 on line 3 3 of Fig. 1, showing the mode of attaching the component parts of the structure together.

In the drawings, A represents a flat band, and B a curved collar, which may be pro- 3o vided with fastening devices b.

O represents a fiat tab forming the centerl of the cravat, as exhibited in Fig. 3.

ln making up this device the middle of the upper edge of the band A is laid against the middle of the lower edge of the collar B, as

shown in Fig. l, and the tab superposed upon these two parts at right angles to the band A and its lower edge brought to the edge of the collar and band. The parts are then secured in this position by a row or line of 4o stitching c, which passes through the tab, the band, and the collar and unites all the parts together.

It will be obvious that the device may be readily washed and ironed.

In Fig. 2 the structure is shown as made up into a tie-that is to say, the tab C is folded down along the line of stitching c and the band A is folded along the dotted lines a, the structure thereby presenting the ap- 5o pearance of a combined collar and cravat.

What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

As a new and useful article of manufacture, the herein-described combined collar and cravat comprising an erect curved collar B, a band A permanently secured by the middle of its upper edge for a short distance along the said edge,to the middle of the lower curved edge of the collar, and a tab C arranged at 6o right angles to the bandA and secured thereto and to the collar by a row of stitching c at the place where the collar and band are secured together and overlapping the middle of the band A when the structure is folded for use, substantially as described.
