A waist-band I5 is secured along the waist edges 20 and 2! of the body portion and may be constructed of resilient material, if desired.

The body portion I0 is provided with a quadrangular opening 35 that forms the head opening for the garment. This quadrangular opening 35 is placed with the median line 66 thereof forward of the median or shoulder-line 24 relative to the front and back of the garment.

The hood l2 of the garment is constructed from the member illustrated in Figure 9 wherein the hood member [2 consists of a base edge 36 that has straight-line portions 3'1, 38 and 39 connected at their ends with the two semi-circular portions 40 and 4|. Projecting upwardly normal to the base line 36 are the straight edges 42 and 43 that terminate in concave arcuate edges 44 and 45. The concave arcuate edges 44 and 45 are joined at their upper ends by the convex arcuate edges 46 and 41 that form substantially a V between the edges 44 and 45.

To form the hood [2 and attach it to the body l0 of the garment, the edges 42 and 43 are seamed together, as are the edges 46 and 41,

forming the seams t and 5| respectively, illustrated in Figure 1. The edges 44 and 45 form the edges of the face opening i3.

The straight edge 38 of the hood [2 is seamed to the rear edge 52 of the'quadrangular opening 35 whereas the straight edge formed by the edges 31 and 39 upon joining of edges 42 and 43 is secured to the forward edge 53 of the opening 35. The semi-circular edges 40 and 4! are secured to the side edges 54 and 55 respectively, of the opening 35, these openings passing over the shoulder of the wearer of the garment.

From the foregoing description, it will be apparent that the garment of this invention is constructed of basic geometrical figures with a minimum number of seams to provide for simplicity of cutting of the garment and assembling of it.

, While the drawings illustrate a preferred form of thegarment, yet it will be understood that it is capable of alteration without departing from the spirit of the invention, and that those modifications that fall within'the scopeof the appended claims are intended to be included herein. Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:

A sleeved garment, comprising, a rectangu lar body portion having a rectangular opening at the center thereof, substantially triangular sleeve portions having a straight line base portion theretof'attached to said body portion at substantially the center of each side thereof, and a hood portion having a base edge com.- prising straight-line portions connected at the ends of two spaced semi-circular line portions, said straight line portions being connected to the ends of said opening and said semi-circular line portions being connected to the side of said open- 2. A sleeved garment, comprising, a rectangujlar body portion having a rectangular opening at the center thereof, substantially triangular sleeve :portions having the form of a truncated isoscles triangle with the straight line base portion thereof attached to said body portion at substantially the center of each side thereof, and a hood por'- tion having a base edge connected to the periphery of said quadrangular opening and comprising straight-line portions connected at the ends of two spaced semi-circular line portions, said straight-line portions being connected to said body portions at opposite ends of said opening therein and said semi-circular line portions being connected to said body portion at opposite sides of said opening.

A sleeved garment, comprising, a body portion having a rectangular opening substantially at the center thereof, sleeve portions attached to said body portion at opposite sides thereof, and a hoodportion having a base edge comprising straight-line portions having their ends connected with two semi-circular line portions, straight edge portions of equal length substantially normal to said base edge, said straight edge portions terminating in concave arcuate edge portions converging toward each other, and said concave edge portions joining with convex arcuate edge portions forming substantially a V-shaped edge therebetween, said straight edge portions and said convex arcuate edges being seamed together to form a hood with said concave edges forming a face opening, saidhood being secured to said body portion at the-peeriphery of said rectangular opening with 1 thef straight-line portions of said base edge connected with said body portion at the ends of saidopening and withsaid semi-circular lineportions connected with said body portion at the.
