IMPROVEMENT IN CHAIR SEATS AND BACKS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent N0. 204,480, dated June 4, 1878; application filed February 19, 1878.
To all whom 'it may concern Be it known that I,H. S. GATE, of Millerstown, Butler county, Pennsylvania, have invented an Improvement in the Seats and Backs of Chairs, of which the following is a specification:
Figure 1 of drawing is a front elevation, partly in section; Fig. 2, a top view, partly in section; Fig. 3, a detail section of back.
The invention will first be described in connection with the drawing, and then pointed out in the claim.
In the drawing, A represents the frame of chair; B, the seat or back, formed of any suitable material; and D, an intervening strip of rubber or other elastic substance. The latter HENRY S. GATE.
