To all whom it may concern: v
Be it known that I, WILLIAM ATWATER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Coldwater, in the county of Branch and State of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Chairs; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon,
which form a partof this specification.
This invention has relation to improvements in chairs; and it consists in providing the seat with corner-irons, whereby a durable seatframe is afforded, as willbe hereinafter fully explained, and particularly pointed out in the appended claim.
The annexed drawings, to which reference is made, fully illustrate my invention, in which Figure 1 represents a vertical sectional View of a chair showing my device attached. Fig. 2 is a horizontal section of the seat-frame, and Fig. 8 is a plan view of the corner-iron detached from the chair.

It will be sen that a chair provided with my corner irons can be readily taken apart and packed for shipping, and it is durable and cheap to manufacture.
